The end of a dream…

For some people the end of a dream would be when, in the middle of the night, something wakes you up, or even when the alarm goes off in the morning and it is time to go to work. For some others, a dream ends when you have done something that you wanted to do all your life and you finally accomplished it. That of course, depends on what you might call a dream. Personally, I think a dream can be anything you want in life; a successful career, meeting the right person, getting married, having children, anything! Dreams come in a variety of shapes, and it’s entirely up to you to make them come true or keep them eternally asleep. Today, this trip has come to an end, and with it, the dream of many people that for years wanted to come to this special place and have finally done it! The Galapagos is one of those dreams that you don’t want to awake from. Fortunately, chances are that you’ll never wake up from it. The memories of all the daily excursions, experiences with animals and people that you have met here would be stored deep inside you, just waiting to be pulled out anytime you feel like it. Those memories will bring a smile to those boring days, when traffic or just daily routine seems to be endless.

So take those memories with you, after all, that is the only thing you are literally allowed to take from here besides your pictures. Let’s put them in that little box where we put our special memories and keep the key handy. I assure you that when you decide to open the memory box again, dreams will pop out and you’ll experience the whole adventure over again, as if the dream were just beginning for the first time…
