This bay on Santiago Island is one of the most fascinating places in the archipelago to observe breathtaking geological landscapes. Impressive black lava flows were admired by all. Something that is really interesting to mention is that this lava flow is very recent. It is only one hundred and twelve years old! It is presumed that that the lava flow in Sullivan Bay is the result of volcanic activity that took place in the southeast of Santiago Island around the year 1890. It is quite amazing that the place was different just a century ago.
The rest of the day was filled with excitement. It is not easy to make an account of everything we saw. Just think about a Garden of Eden where life is as beautiful and peaceful as you can imagine.
