Bartolome and Santiago Islands

How many times have you been at work behind your desk, thinking that the only thing you want to do is get away from the rush, stress and noise of the big city? Or perhaps sitting behind the wheel of your vehicle stuck in a traffic jam with hundreds of cars going in the same direction. There is nothing more pleasurable than being in an unspoiled place like Galapagos, thinking about those poor guys that are still behind their desks or trapped in the traffic jams and grateful that you are not in there place. Such thoughts would automatically bring a smile to your face!

It’s been a week since our guests arrived here in these enchanted islands, and they haven’t stopped smiling yet. Perhaps this is in part because they have escaped from their desks and the traffic, but also because being immersed in Nature inevitably brings relaxation to anyone who is fortunate enough to experience this. This is why we should all try to surround ourselves with the natural world as often as we can.

Sadly for our guests, today was the final day of the unique experience that started seven days ago in this magical place called the Galapagos. This afternoon we stood on a platform of black lava that fell into a blue sea (see today’s photo) and watched sea lions and herons, crabs and iguanas. We have collected many memories during this voyage that will be stored forever in our minds. They are available to be pulled out and examined the next time we are in one of those traffic jams or are having a hectic day. Don’t ever forget that you can always visit us, time and time again. All you have to do is close your eyes and remember…dancing blue-footed boobies at dawn, sea lion aqua ballet in a turquoise sea, fluttering red balloons of cooing frigates, and so much more.
