Hood Island
Visiting the island of Hood is one of the clearest and sharpest way to fall in love with birds. It has a full range of species easy to see, which vary from the largest sea bird nesting in the Galapagos, the waved albatross, to the smallest member of our land bird kingdom, the warbler finch.
However, once everybody got into the water, the outstanding number and variety of fish is what leads everyone to think about the possibility of discovering other worlds. Due to the favorable geographical position of the Galapagos, we are always delighted, and know ourselves to be exceptionally lucky, to be able to experience these kinds of situations here.
Among the different afternoon activities possible in Gardner Bay, there is the opportunity to walk along a fantastic coralline beach full of sea lions. Here, the interaction between humans and animals is like a little world in itself. I would like to say that this is a place so apart from the rest of our planet, that it amazes everybody, but at the same time helps and gives us an insight into the mystery and magic of animal behavior on earth.
