Santa Cruz Island

The word “good” means a lot, and yet it is simple and short. With good I can describe our morning and afternoon on Santa Cruz Island. I could say it was lovely, enjoyable and pleasant to see baby tortoises being bred at the Charles Darwin Research Station head quarters; but good is fine, it says it all. For lunch I could use delightful and nice, and still, it was so good, lunch in the highlands, next to a swimming pool where kids played and refreshed after a pretty warm morning.

For the highlands I can say they were fine, worthy, agreeable. And they indeed were, but good is again handy for describing the feeling of encountering tortoises in the wild, and rare kinds of finches, like tree and woodpecker finches. The music this evening was nice, with pretty good rhythm, and many of our guests joined in the fun of dancing. What a good day!
