Is hard to determine what’s going to impact us the most everyday, especially in a world where you never know what to expect, because it is so unpredictable. Water activities around Champion Islet were the most amazing experience; Champion is a site where one can expect anythin, and certainly today was a day when we all had a great time. We reached a remarkable understanding of the lives and behaviors of the creatures that make their way of living beneath the sea.
Some people did deep water snorkeling in the windward side, while others went to the leeward side; some decided to “dry snorkel” from the comfort of the glass batoon boat. It did not matter the place we used in search of the best spot for under water highlights, around Champion, and in Galápagos in general, it’s always wonderful, we can enjoy the ocean topography as well as the representation of the fish kingdom. One of the highlights was the number of reef sharks that came close to the snorkelers and beneath the glass bottom boat, as well as the number and colors of tropical fish.
However, the interaction with sea lions which are one of the most acrobatic species in the water is a vivid experience that makes everyone appreciate these unique ecosystems.
