Floreana Island
Today, we visited the island of Floreana and found an incredible diversity of both plant and animal life. We also had a lot of fun visiting the post office barrel and continued with the tradition that was established last century delivering mail without stamps! Later in the morning, we headed for our snorkeling activities at Champion Island. We had a lot of fun with the sea lions which were extra playful this morning. The glass bottom boat experience was excellent as well. Lots of colorful fish, rays and an octopus were found in the area and even a couple of sea lions started to press their noses against the bottom glass, giving us a good laugh out of it.
The afternoon was dedicated to the flamingoes. The path that is found at Punta Cormorant skirts a lagoon with a large population of greater flamingoes.
After a magnificent sunset, we headed to our cabins to finish up with our Halloween costumes. It was a lot of fun to see everyone participate in the making of the most exotic and endemic costumes that you can ever imagine.
All of our guests had a lot of fun during the recap time and they all showed off their creations but it was even nicer to see the decorations of the dinning room. I must say everything was very appropriate for the event!
