Bartolome Island

As our final day in the Galápagos started, I have to admit that it couldn’t have been a better one! The sun rose at the horizon with an unusual intensity, and it lit up the entire island within a matter of seconds. The pinnacle rock formation was, of course, strategically located, so the guests could see it as soon as they stepped out of the door heading to the island.

The rest of the morning, after collecting a reasonable amount of food during breakfast of course, was dedicated to water activities. Snorkeling from the beach on calm waters was probably the highlight for many of our guests, specially the younger ones who found the beach itself the best area to hang out.

Our afternoon was not bad at all! We tried to fit as many activities as possible and headed again for snorkeling, combining these with the fantastic walk along the shoreline of Santiago Island.

This has been a perfect week, almost too perfect to be truthful! Everything that we have encountered along the week will be perhaps, treasured in that part of our minds where special memories are registered. Hopefully, these memories will never be forgotten, and the Galápagos will remain latent in our hearts, minds, and inside our very souls for a long, long time.
