Puerto Egas, James Island
What a wonderful day we all had today. Early in the morning after our snacks, we disembarked to Bartolome Island, what some of us call the open book of geology. A board walk toward the top was worth every puff at the end, the Galápagos business card view, the sky, the sea; all the colors combined to prep different arrays of crates of all kinds. Our last day in paradise, and we enjoyed it to the fullest. We are just about to have breakfast.
Water activities are in display, snorkeling, glass bottom boat shifts, and swimming at the beach, many different options for us to tailor our activities. Some of us snorkeled with sea lions, sharks and even penguins, while others just went for a swim and other sun-bathing, under the famous pinnacle rock as our companion, and this is just our morning.
Back on board for our lunch as our captain raises anchor and repositions the Polaris to our next destination, Puerto Egas is our site on Santiago Island. This was where the picture was taken by one of our guests standing close to the tuff formation at the shoreline.
A close up to the shore of this site were shore birds, fur seals and lava flows. This shore line is a great way to end our expedition.
We say good bye now, but our experience stays in our hearts forever.
