Sitka, Alaska

One early morning a ship called Sea Bird landed in a little town of Sitka, Alaska that is nestled in an evergreen forest. The people of Sitka have been waiting for this magnificent ship. They have heard great things from afar: of people traveling on this fascinating ship from all over the world. The seafaring explorers were told that in the town of Sitka they would be met by a beautiful and fascinating woman who would show them the way to the bald eagles. The name of the place where the eagles would be was called the Alaska Raptor Center and this center’s mission was to rehabilitate injured bald eagles and other birds of prey. At the center the “healers of animals” conduct bald eagle research and educate visitors about the fascinating and most beautiful bird of the sky. The seafaring explorers were also told that along the way they would see the National Historical Park of Sitka and this park would help them learn about the history of Sitka. As a final journey, before the sun set, the seafaring people had a look around at the Russian flavored town of Sitka. The explorers found the town exciting and unique with its own taste. The wonderful people, who lived in Sitka, looked at the seafaring explorers with fascination and a beautiful golden haired child played her violin for the explorers.

As the afternoon ended the surprise was a bedazzling view of humpback whales that came to visit the explorers as they continue their voyage in the great passages of Alaska. In the evening, laughter and enchantment filled the air as the stewards captivated the explorers with little known facts about how an expedition comes together. And our story continues tomorrow...
