George Island, Elfin Cove and the Inians
The Sea Bird is on the move to George Island as everybody wakes up,
We sit down to breakfast as people get coffee or juice poured into their cups.
After breakfast people sign up for what they want to do,
We had a choice of kayaking, hiking, and tidepooling too.
We feel the boat stop and hear the loud noise of the anchor dropping,
The PA announces to head to the 200 level to get on the Zodiacs, no time for stalling!
After our adventures of wonderful fun,
We get back on the ship to cruise to adventures that have not yet begun.
We arrive at Elfin Cove and the anchor is dropping,
And one of the residents of town named Mary Jo will be explaining things and talking.
Then a tan woman with white hair walked in and told us about her town,
She implied to us that to her it’s the best town around.
We finally got to discover how good this town was,
It had berry plants and clear blue water and gulls soaring above.
But it was very small, it was just a good stretch of boardwalk,
You could walk from the beginning to the end and have just maybe a 2 minute talk.
After exploring the town, we got back on the boat, and the anchor got pulled in,
And then we cruised along and anticipated for more adventures to begin.
