Isla Partida, Baja California, Mexico
Ever since I started working in the travel business I knew my life would change significantly from that day on. The places that I’ve been lucky to see so far are too beautiful to be described in only one piece of paper. I imagine that, if I could download the memories of all the places, experiences and people that I have encountered in my short life of traveling, such information could easily overload the largest and most sophisticated computer in the world!
Until now, I have not encountered the place that I want to call home, but at the same time every place I had been to, fills out the characteristics of where I’d like my home to be. It is a little difficult to explain, but it makes a lot of sense to me. It would be very easy to spend a lifetime looking for the place I’d like to spend the rest of my life, but I realize that it would be easier for me just to call every place I visit, home!
Right now my home is Baja California, Mexico. This is a place with a beauty beyond words, so I often use my imagination to describe it. Imagine entering in a different world. Imagine that world to be surrounded by gigantic cactus and inhabited by amazing creatures. Close your eyes and smell the air filled with the fragrances of the night blooming cactus flowers released into the air after the first summer rains. Open your mouth and taste the sweetness of the rain that would bring life with its miraculous touch. Listen hard, and hear the distant call of the waves crashing against the rocky shoreline. Reach out, and feel the softness of the sand melted under the magical light when the moonshines. And now open your eyes again, and see that everything that you had imagined is real.
