Pardon me, but does this Zodiac go to La Paz? While the guests of the Sea Bird enjoyed swimming with the sea lions of Los Islotes this afternoon, one young pup decide to come aboard for a visit. He promptly made himself comfortable on the back of the left pontoon, much to the delight of the humans already on board. After inspecting the towel supply and the outboard motor, he yawned mightily and slipped back into the sea.

So ended a day filled with vivid images and memories. Day broke with a glorious sunrise as we approached the island of La Partida in the La Paz Channel. Expedition Leader Larry Prussin and Captain Scott Martin decided to cruise southward to the southern end of Isla Espiritu Santo, to Bahia Bonanza, for our morning activities. Guests were landed on Bonanza’s broad sandy beach with the options of hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, or simply beachcombing.

The Sea Bird returned to Bahia Bonanza for a delicious dinner on shore, complete with a bonfire and toasted marshmallows. Tonight we sail southward down the Sea of Cortez towards Gorda Banks and another day of discoveries.
