There is something very natural and soothing about being at sea. Our southbound transit to Cabo San Lucas was amazingly smooth. A great day to reflect on our experience with the gray whales, and a great day to dream of adventures yet to come.

Before breakfast, we passed a blue whale. After breakfast, we overtook a sailboat heading south, part of a regatta also bound for the Cape. Then, after lunch, the mythical rocks of Lands End came into view.

As we round the Cape, the southernmost point on the Baja Peninsula, we were greeted by spring break in full swing. The once sleeping fishing port is now a playground for holiday-makers.

Once alongside within the inner harbor, we explored town, happy to be on terra firma once again. But after walking only one block, and one margarita, we were ready to be at sea once again. We heard the song of the humpbacks, calling us…
