The island of Gozo is part of Malta, and lies only a few miles away from the island of Malta. One of its major attractions are the ruins of the temples of Ggantija, very much visited by good numbers of travelers. This temple consists of two parts with inner chambers, made with huge boulders of limestone, and the total surrounded by a high wall of boulders and cross pieces of enormous size. Built only a few hundred years before the pyramids of Egypt, these temples are quite badly damaged, but very interesting to visit.
In addition to Ggantija, we visited the town of Gharb and saw the typical architecture of Maltese homes during our visit to Mrs. Sonja Lindblad's home, where we enjoyed a cocktail in the lovely garden. Swimming and Zodiac tours along the rough coast were undertaken in the morning.
