Bona and Otoque Island, Panama

As we prepared for the Zodiac adventure in the surroundings of Bona and Otoque Islands, we were able to spot, from the distance, the columns of frigate birds rising up from the islands like gladiators waiting for the right winds to begin the battle of the day. Once we reached the nesting areas, we were able to spot the next generation of magnificent frigate birds, brown and blue footed bobbies and brown pelicans. At this period of the year, different than other times, the crystal waters of this amazing area were much greener due to the plankton. It is impossible to ignore the importance of these little animals and the role they play in the symphony of marine life. The abundance of marine life like any other time of the year take place because of the overwhelming phenomena we were able to witness. Later in the afternoon we departed on our voyage to the inner side of the Panama Bay, preparing ourselves to enter the looks of Miraflores while enjoying the beautiful sunset.
