Manuel Antonio

Our day started with a beautiful sunrise! We are starting our last day of expedition in the wonderful park of Manuel Antonio. This amazing protected park is one of the jewels of Costa Rica and we have the opportunity for exploring all its secrets. Manuel Antonio holds an amazing biodiversity, and we can enjoy all this beauty waking around the trails of Punta Catedral and Sloth Valley .

Punta Catedral used to be an island that was joined to the mainland by the interaction of marine currents and sediments; forming what is known geologically as Tombolo. This island offered us a wonderful walk and the chance to see birds as blue crowned motmot, black hooded antshrike and also many mammals such as white faced capuchins and agoutis. At the same time, some of the other guests had the opportunity to explore Sloth Valley trail in which for sure a big amount of two toed and three toed sloth were spotted. After such a nice experience we returned to the vessel, where a delicious lunch was waiting for us.

This is our last day of our expedition and we really enjoyed of all the beauty that Manuel Antonio has to offer. We will remember all of you with great joy, and hope to see you again.
