Manuel Antonio National Park & Corcovado National Park
An early start! 5:45 AM and we are already on our way to Manuel Antonio National Park. One of the smallest national parks in Costa Rica and also one of the most visited, its abundant wildlife and beautiful beaches make this a real piece of paradise. Monkeys, iguanas, toucans and sloths were some of the morning’s highlights.
After a successful morning, we sailed toward Corcovado, one of Costa Rica true gems. On the south Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Corcovado protects rain forest, this endangered habitat holds most of the World’s biodiversity, hundreds of different species connected in a complicated web of relationships. The rain forest is like a big museum where each organism represents a piece of art carved by evolution. The competition for light creates plants like this beautiful Costus plant, which grows in a spiral to maximize the amount of light received by each leaf.
