Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica

Cursing the rocky coast of Corcovado National Park, we anchored off San Pedrillo, a small ranger station located on the northwestern side of the park. Completely inaccessible by road makes this park one of the most pristine parks in Costa Rica.

We disembarked after breakfast and our expert zodiac drivers showed their skill as they calculated the right wave and made it safely on to the beach. San Pedrillo definitely treated us well. All of the hikes reported many close encounters with Red Spider monkeys, white face capuchin, black-mantled howlers, red-capped Manikins, white hawks and great curassows!! The morning was rainy but definitely brought many surprises.

In the afternoon we navigated over to San Josesito the sun came out just as we arrived. After a barbecue lunch on board, we made it to the beach and enjoyed a leisurely day snorkeling and exploring the surrounding areas. Again we had great sighting of White hawks, white face capuchins playing in the palm trees and scarlet macaws flying overhead, what a day we had.
