The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on February 22, 2017.

Today was full-on Havana. After a full night’s rest in the historic Hotel Nacional, we awoke ready to explore this amazing city. Guides Edgar Perez and Daniel Alonzo led us through the heart of Old Havana, followed by lunch in the centrally-located and privately-run restaurant Casa Abel. In the afternoon, one group traveled to the outskirts of the city to visit the former home and fishing village of Ernest Hemingway, while others visited the Partagas cigar factory and a vintage-car garage. Architect and urban designer Pedro Vasquez met us in the evening to help explain this city of architectural contrasts.
