What an incredible and adventurous day we experienced here at Henderson Island. This isolated coral atoll ecosystem exhibits remarkable biodiversity for its size. Found halfway between New Zealand and Chile, this pristine and seemingly untouched island is home to four endemic land birds, a large breeding seabird colony, and ten taxa of endemic vascular plants.

Vigorous conditions at sea did not keep us from reaching shore to take in the beauty of this island. Limestone cliffs surrounded by turquoise waters afforded a visually impressive setting for our first water activities. What came out of exploring, snorkeling, and diving around this gem in the middle of the Pacific was a day we will never forget!
