Our expeditions starts at the second largest island in the Galapagos, Santa Cruz where the national park authorities and the Charles Darwin research station are located.

Today we are searching for Galapagos giant tortoises - first at the research station where we will see the rearing program by incubating young tortoises and later at the highlands as they roam freely into the wild.

We will also have lunch and a visit to a local farm where sugar cane and coffee are harvested and processed into different products like moonshine, brown sugar and molasses.
