Chinstrap Penguin - Year of the Bird

Chinstrap Penguins | Year of the Bird | Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic

The chinstrap penguin owes its name to a thin band of black feathers that runs just below the chin from ear to ear. In 2018, we mark the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the most powerful and important bird-protection law ever passed. In honor of this milestone, we unite with National Geographic and nature lovers around the world to join forces to celebrate the “Year of the Bird” and commit to protecting birds today and for the next hundred years.
