Cristian Moreno
Cristian Moreno is an Expedition Leader and Naturalist with a professional focus on birdwatching, ecology and tropical rainforest environments. He grew up in Panama City before attending university in Chile, where he earned a degree in metallurgical civil engineering.
In 1995, Cristian returned to Panama, where his long-standing interest in the natural world led him to pursue further training as a naturalist. His work centers on wildlife observation, rainforest ecology and the cultural significance of Indigenous landscapes. He is also a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and supports guest exploration of marine environments alongside his land-based guiding.
Cristian’s outdoor experience began early through involvement in the Pathfinder’s Club, where he received honors in ecology, camping and field skills. Over time, his appreciation for Panama’s natural heritage grew into a guiding career that began informally with family and community excursions through the country’s jungles.
Cristian has extensive experience leading groups of diverse ages and interests and has taught Environmental Education, Conservation and Sustainable Development at universities in Panama. As a naturalist and expedition leader, he continues to guide throughout Panama and other tropical rainforest regions, supporting meaningful engagement with wildlife, ecosystems and cultural context.
