Eric Kruszewski

Eric is an editorial and commercial photographer, videographer and FAA-certified drone pilot based near Washington, D.C. His work focuses on travel and documentaries and is represented by National Geographic Image Collection.

Eric’s initial education was through technical schools, thus leading to employment dismantling chemical weaponry, securing biological agents and processing nuclear waste. But projects in Central Asia rattled his tech foundation and uncovered a love for photography and storytelling.

In March 2012, after a 10-year engineering career, Eric transitioned to pursue his new passions. Now working globally as a freelancer, Eric has traveled to almost 60 countries where he’s captured imagery of cultures and documented human-interest stories.

Eric’s work has been published by National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, CNN, ABC News and The New York Times, among others. He has received many awards including honors from the International Photo Awards and Travel Photographer of the Year. He is the only photographer to have won the National Geographic Expeditions photo contest twice.
