Karla Malo

Karla was born and raised on the most beautiful island in the world, Santa Cruz on the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. She studied through high school there and then decided to live abroad in the United States, where she finished her senior year. Afterwards, she came back to Ecuador and got a B.A. in Tourism Management at San Francisco de Quito University.

Then she was very lucky and got a scholarship to study in Japan for a year, and during that time she traveled around Asia as well. Once she finished her studies she came back home and realized she wanted to have a really close look at the amazing Galápagos’ wildlife, so she became a licensed Guide for the Galapagos National Park. Now she is making plans again to be an exchange student once more, but this time in England, where she would like to study for an M.S. in Ecotourism.
