Richard McColl
Richard McColl is a British freelance foreign correspondent based in Colombia and serves as a Cultural Specialist focusing on politics, current events and regional affairs in Latin America.
His reporting has been published internationally in outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, the BBC, Foreign Policy and The Globe and Mail. Richard also regularly appears on international news broadcasts, providing context and analysis on developments in Colombia and throughout the region.
He holds a Ph.D. in Ciencias Sociales y Humanas and a professional master’s degree in Resolución de Conflictos from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, as well as a postgraduate diploma in International Journalism from City University, London. His academic background complements his experience in political reporting and conflict-focused research.
