Sue Forbes
Sue Forbes is a Certified Photo Instructor and Naturalist with more than 30 years of experience in wildlife, landscape and travel photography. She has traveled to over 100 countries across all seven continents, combining extensive field experience with a long-standing focus on visual storytelling.
Sue’s professional background includes an unusual career path spanning service in the Royal Air Force in the United Kingdom and executive leadership roles in technology companies in Silicon Valley. In 2011, she transitioned to focus fully on wildlife and travel photography.
Her award-winning work has been exhibited in museums and galleries including the Natural History Museum in London and has been published internationally in outlets such as The Sunday Times and BBC Wildlife, as well as in books and magazines worldwide.
Sue spends much of her time working aboard expedition ships as a Certified Photo Instructor, helping guests improve their photography skills and better understand their cameras and smartphones. As a Naturalist, she brings a photographer’s perspective to wildlife observation and has taught on expedition voyages globally for more than 15 years. She also supports operations in the field, including occasional Zodiac driving.
Sue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Warwick and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
