Playa Blanca, Costa Rica

Dec 27, 2017 - National Geographic Quest

After a wonderful visit to Panama, National Geographic Quest arrived in Costa Rica this morning. We stopped in Golfito and, after clearing customs, we made our way to Playa Blanca where we spent the whole day. During our visit to a chocolate farm, we spotted colorful scarlet macaws that provided great photo opportunities. There were plenty of activities to choose from throughout the day. An interesting activity was the gold panning, with owner Don Juan demonstrating the way to pan for gold. Later on, dancers from the local community came to entertain our group during lunch at the beach. In the afternoon, we departed with great memories, ready for upcoming adventures in the following days.
