Taha’a and Ra’iatea

Jul 23, 2018 - National Geographic Orion

Today we traveled to the islands of Taha’a and Ra’iatea. Ra’iatea is world renowned for the complex Marae Taputapuātea, considered the center and most sacred site of the Polynesian Triangle. We explored Marae Taputapuātea in the morning before moving on to Taha’a, where guests toured a vanilla plantation and snorkeled from our own private beach.
