LeConte Bay and Petersburg

Aug 01, 2018 - National Geographic Quest

We started our morning off early in our Zodiacs, cruising LeConte Bay.  The sun has continued to shine through the week thus far, making our days warm and quite comfortable on the water.  As we explored the bay we came across several large bergy bits, and a few icebergs off in the distance.  After brunch, we made our way to Petersburg where our guests were able to explore the town, go flightseeing, and take a walk to the beautiful muskeg on Kuprenof Island.  I have to admit this is one of my favorite days, hiking the muskeg, and topping it all off with a dungeness crab feast for dinner!  Another day living the dream in Alaska!
