It’s been over a decade now since the Galapagos National Park decided it was time to start restoring the whole of the island. This region was severely impacted by visitors such as pirates, explorers, first settlers, and many others. I’m sure there is still a lot to be done, but it is amazing to see so much natural beauty around Floreana Island.
Walter was born in a very small town on the mainland of Ecuador. His first trip to the Galápagos was when he was 12 years old, visiting friends and aunt, who had moved to the islands. From the first moment he saw the Islands, he fell in love with them and knew then where his future home would be.
