At Sea to Antarctica

A voyage to Antarctica is a true expedition. Everyone on board National Geographic Orion is reminded of this as we sail toward the White Continent.

After great days in South Georgia, we spent the day dancing between the waves and listening to entertaining and informative talks about Antarctica. Meanwhile, gazing out the window one can see a great variety of seabirds riding the winds playing daredevil over the breaking waves.

The highlight of the day was a brief sighting of a fin whale close to the ship, although seen only by those braving the motion on the bridge.
