May 07, 2019 - National Geographic Venture
Today was our first introduction to the temperate rainforest of the Pacific Northwest. However, there was no rain on this day. The sun was shining as National Geographic Venture arrived in Echo bay, Sucia Islands. These islands provide a wonderful protected space for scenic walks with beautiful vistas and calm waters for kayaking.
Paolo grew up just five miles from the ocean and for as long as he can remember, he’s always spent his free time in and around the water. As a high school student, he volunteered during the summer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and he was an active Junior Lifeguard.
