Sometimes it’s good to hit “v” in lightroom and enter Ansel Adams mode. Or, since we’re in Alaska, Bradford Washburn mode. Beautiful lenticular clouds form over the Fairweather Mountain Range, specifically Mount La Peruse and Mount Crillon this afternoon in Icy Strait. These circular clouds mean moist, stable air and often form at the top of high peaks. Clouds are awesome and don’t let anyone tell you any different.
Bushwhacks to boots, puffins to pink salmon, sea lions to sea kayaking, and the Fairweathers Range in the fairest of weather. That was today.
