Baird Glacier & Petersburg, Alaska

Jul 31, 2019 - National Geographic Sea Bird

We awoke anchored in Scenery Cove, just around the corner from the Baird Glacier. We had a tremendous morning of activities, ranging from hikes on the glacial moraine and kayaking in secluded coves to expedition landing craft cruises around the Baird Glacier. We set out for Petersburg, Alaska, arriving just after lunchtime for an afternoon of bog exploration, dock walks, guided photo walks, and free time to explore the town. The evening ended with a crack as we feasted on Dungeness crab for dinner!
