The island is being restored in one of the most ambitious projects the Galapagos National Park has ever attempted. I hope that in the near future we may have once again the Floreana giant tortoise, Floreana mockingbirds, and the mega-sperm prickly pear cactus that once upon a time were spread all over the Island.
