Our expeditions started early in the morning for an optional walk up to Bartolome Island, 375 wooden steps taking us to an iconic and impressive view. The volcanic landscape is filled with many different forms, like the world-famous Pinnacle Rock, featured in many documentaries, books, and even movies.
We returned to National Geographic Endeavour for breakfast and then headed back to the beach for snorkeling. Today we were very lucky to swim among whitetip reef sharks, Galapagos penguins, rays, turtles, and a variety of fish.
Back onboard, our captain repositioned to our next visitor site, Sombrero Chino, for water activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and a panga rides along the shoreline to search for Galapagos penguins, sea lions, sharks, Galapagos hawks, and much more.
We wrapped up the day with a BBQ dinner after our traditional recap. Our voyage comes to an end, our guests now connected to this special destination, altered by this once in a lifetime experience.
