Directly following a delicious breakfast, we disembarked at Casa Orquídea, one of the most beautiful and diverse botanical gardens in Costa Rica. The amazing collection of flowering and fruiting plants attract a great array of butterflies and birds, including some endemic species. Our guests also had the chance to go for a swim to cool down after a nice and sunny morning.

In the afternoon, some biologists of LAST (Latin American Sea Turtles) got on board to lecture about their efforts to preserve the sea turtles in the region, followed by a visit to Playa Blanca so our guests could witness firsthand their research methods, and the release of a hawksbill sea turtle back to the sea, while Scarlet Macaws kept flying overhead. An excellent way to say farewell to Costa Rica as we now head to Panama.
