Today in our final day of expeditions in Costa Rica we headed for Casa Orquideas. This Botanical garden located next to Piedras Blancas National Park is a hotbed of wildlife and beautiful plants. The unique layout of the garden and immense variety of tropical plants gave our guests an unforgettable experience.

Later we repositioned to Golfito or “Little Gulf” to explore its mangrove forest. We took kayaks and explored the coast while birds such roseate spoonbill, and also used our Zodiacs to cruise into the Coto River. During this cruise we spotted birds such as, scarlet macaws, whimbrels, willets, little blue heron and roseate spoonbills. We also saw some howler and capuchin monkeys.
