Espanola Island

After a wonderful week of great surprises and good experiences, we decided to take easy and start the morning with leisure activities after having breakfast at eight o’clock in the morning.

Kayaking and snorkeling was offered to the guests who wanted to exercise and explore the wonders of the marine reserve. Another option was to disembark right on the white sand coral beach and to swim with the Galápagos sea lions in the turquoise waters of Gardner Bay. Nothing could be so relaxing than to get lost in this wonderful paradise and forget about all the troubles of the world.

We came back for the departure briefing that Lucho our expedition leader prepared for the guests.

After lunch at 3:30, we were ready for the last hike to Punta Suarez to visit one of the most beautiful marine bird colonies. Among them all, we spotted the Nazca and Blue footed boobies, swallow tailed gulls, red billed tropic birds and others. Some land species are endemic to this island like the Hood mockingbird and lava lizard. The day was so warm that many of the guests decided to refresh themselves jumping off from the ship into the water and having fun that way.
