Espanola Island
This paradisiacal island was at its best today. Wonderful weather conditions accompanied us during the whole day. In the morning, we visited one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galápagos Islands, Gardner beach. The beach’s white sand, that resembles flour due to its soft and fine texture, is surrounded with marvelous aquamarine blue waters. A dense Galápagos sea lion colony spent time on the beach. In addition to the always admired sea lions, strident and curious Espanola mockingbirds were observed everywhere. A pure blue sky that dominated the scene created a magnificent atmosphere that allows us great photographic opportunities. Snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, and relaxing were some of the activities that all our guests enjoyed to the most.
In the afternoon, the walk on Punta Suarez, located on the north western part of the island, was fantastic as well. Nazca boobies and red billed tropicbirds together with the famous waved albatross were enchanting sightings that satisfied the most demanding expectations. A great week has come to an end in this remote and exceptional archipelago. The sincere joy and profound appreciation we observe in our visitors is living proof of how intense the memories and feelings these enchanted islands evoke.
