Bartolomé & Puerto Egas
An early breakfast outing took us to the summit of Bartolomé volcano, where the highlights were the beautiful colors of the lava flows, cones and blue skies. We climbed a wooden stair way that took us to a glorious place with the greatest view.
The highlight for the kids in the morning was the second outing to the beach where they could run and swim and build sand castles! Glass-bottom boaters also had a great time here. The afternoon easy stroll along the shores of Puerto Egas was another highlight and some guests opted for snorkeling again and enjoyed the beach.
We saw lots of wonderful marine iguanas, shore birds, hundreds of crabs, and fur sea lions on the grottos. This was the perfect last day in paradise, and according to the Ecuadorian tradition we celebrated Christmas night with a fabulous buffet dinner.
