Santiago Island
Our afternoon was partially cloudy with very little wind, or better no wind at all, just like in the morning in Bartolome. I mention this because a picturesque three-masted sailboat pulled up two sails as they left their anchoring site, to the surprise of everybody. The air was warm and the sea calm, the temperature of the water was 71 degrees Fahrenheit. Everybody was relaxed and happy, full of memories of new and outstanding experiences as a magical trip around the enchanted islands was drawing to a close. Our last full day in the Galapagos.
Our Zodiacs, or commonly called Pangas, were put to excellent use during the week. As we returned from the visit they were pulled up to the top of the Polaris to rest for a while, ready to continue leading us all into further adventures in the coming weeks, months, year.
