Floreana Island
We saw penguins in the morning and flamingoes in the afternoon. There were sharks underwater and red-billed tropicbirds in the skies. We ate a complete Ecuadorian lunch, and we saw how fresh pineapples and papayas were brought on board. These happened in just one day in the Galapagos, while visiting a large and beautiful island, Floreana.
Before sailing to Floreana, last night only, we enjoyed a perfect sky with zero clouds and 2003 stars. The Southern Cross, which our stargazer Paula calls the “Kite”, shined above the horizon showing our captain the course to head for reaching this mystery island.
I enjoyed it all today, but my passion is the underwater realm. Therefore I share with the world a cute fish, the female streamer hogfish. Some of the largest and most dominant females, at a certain point in their lives, become super males, but that is another story, and deserves another picture. So stay “hooked” for more fish from the Galapagos.
