Santiago Island
Today we had lots of different activities for everyone. Some went snorkeling, and others went swimming, both followed by a nice walk along the beach looking for sea lions, Galapagos fur seals, marine iguanas and shore birds. For those who wanted to explore the Coast of Santiago Island looking for wildlife, they found that in Galapagos, sometimes animals come looking for you.
The Polaris had sailed over noon time, and in the afternoon took us to James Bay on Santiago Island where our guests had the opportunity to interact with some of our more curious species. Some had the great experience to be sniffed by a sea lion while trying to snorkel! Soon after, while walking along the path some of our guests were intensively observed by a Galapagos hawk. Just look carefully in the photograph, and you can find the hawk in the middle of the picture. This is the moment when one wonders “Who is looking at whom?” Our week is ending, but a memory of a lifetime is just starting.
