Bartolome & Santiago Islands
Our day began with an early walk to the top of Bartolome Island. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the summit of this volcano. The landscape of Bartolome Island is very famous for the variety of lava formations, new volcanoes, and pioneer plants. After a healthy exercise, we came back on board for breakfast and continued our day with the water activities from the beach.
On the beach, we saw penguins, and we enjoyed our snorkel outing swimming with different kinds of tropical fish and the playful Galápagos sea lions; it was very refreshing to get in the water at this time of the day.
During lunch, we sailed to Santiago Island, where we explored a different beach with beautiful black sand. Late in the afternoon, we started with a peaceful and delightful walk observing for the last time the amazing creatures inhabiting the coast line.
It was the best way to finish a wonderful week in paradise.
