Bartolome & Santiago Islands
Our last full day in the Galápagos was just as good as the first full one, or even the second or the third! The fact is that there is never a bad day in this gorgeous archipelago and every single day is just a different experience.
The Island of Bartolome was our morning visit and showed us a great deal of the geology of the archipelago. It also implied a climb over three hundred steps that weren’t so bad, even at six-thirty in the morning.
After breakfast we enjoyed water activities, both snorkeling and swimming were extremely gratifying.
Our afternoon was not less exciting that our morning, however once we arrived on the island, the thought of it being the last afternoon invaded us and gave us a mild sensation of sorrow. For an entire week we had enjoyed the tender look of baby sea lions, blue-footed boobies dancing and so many other memories that it would be hard to let go. In fact, I don’t think anybody could let go of Galápagos, because once you have been bewitched by these islands, there is no turning back…
