Espanola Island

Today we spent a beautiful day on Espanola Island. We saw many different species of birds, like blue-footed boobies, Darwin's finches, swallow-tailed gulls, mockingbirds, albatrosses. Not only birds, we saw many marine iguanas and the beautiful baby sea lions…well it was great!! But Galapagos is not as simple as that, we have many different creatures on land, but almost all of them depend on different creatures that live under the water. Today, we had also the opportunity to see these animals from the glass bottom boat and while we snorkeled. Under the water is a different world, many different fish, and right there on the bottom many sea-stars make it appear like we were looking the sky. Also many sea-urchins and sea cucumbers, but between all these nice animals a particular type of fish appears, and took the attention of our guests. It was a balloonfish, swimming very slowly because it knows that the waters are dangerous, and almost any kind of fish like to eat it. Well, it was just one of the many things that you can see here in the Enchanted Islands.
