Genovesa island

What a great day we've had, starting from very early in the morning when heading towards Darwin Bay, which is actually the main caldera of this island.

During the walk we saw everything that we expected to find: red-footed boobies perching on trees, swallow-tailed gulls feeding their chicks and, of course, frigatebirds. The Galapagos Islands are the main port for two of the world's five species of frigatebirds: the great and the magnificent frigate birds. The former are found in most of the tropical oceans. It was spectacular to see today all the male frigates (the great frigate bird species), advertising themselves whenever they saw a female flying over. We are at the middle of their breeding season, and Tower was at its best - dressed up in the greens of verdant vegetation of the wet season, and the red of frigates courting.
